Bridges
Bridges are made of false teeth, and are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges can be permanent or removable, and use a method that attaches a false tooth, or crown, to the adjacent teeth which ensure stability and longevity.
Implants
When natural teeth are missing from the mouth, a dental implant, usually made out of titanium, is placed into the bone and gums of the mouth replacing the root portion of the tooth. Replacement teeth, or crowns, are then fixed onto these new, artificial roots.
Dental implants allow people who are missing teeth to be able to smile, speak, and chew well and comfortably. Dental implants look and feel like your own teeth. And because they are designed to fuse with bone, they become permanent.
Whitening
If you smoke, drink wine, coffee, tea or cola chances are your teeth are going to develop a brownish or yellowish tint. An in-office whitening procedure provides an average improvement of up to eight or ten shades. The method is long lasting, painless, and safe.
Bonding
Bonding is a process that first etches the tooth's enamel, and then uses resin to attach tooth-colored fillings or veneers to a tooth. This method used to change the shape or color of a tooth.
Crowns
A crown is a permanent restoration that covers a tooth to strengthen and protect it from further fracture. Crowns are needed when tooth structure has been weakened by decay around fillings or severely damaged, decayed, chipped, discolored, or misaligned.
Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are thin ceramic, tooth colored facings that are bonded to the visible part of the tooth to improve its appearance and enhance strength. Veneers are used to change the tooth's color, size, and/or shape.
Fillings & on/inlays
Fillings are materials dentist use to seal cavities after they clean out the decayed part of the tooth, and are used as a preventative method against further decay and potential pain. Dr. Krzywonos uses composite fillings which are made from resin and other particles that are mixed together and then given time to "cure" or harden.
Smile Makeover
Advancements in aesthetic dentistry have made it possible to completely change a person’s tooth shape, color, size and position. With the help of today’s latest technology, Dr. Krzywonos begins this process with a comprehensive smile consultation, followed by a series of diagnostic tools that will help determine the perfect smile.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a series of clear, removable teeth aligners that both orthodontists and dentists use as an alternative to traditional metal dental braces. Clear plastic aligners are used in the Invisalign® system to straighten teeth in 18 to 30 two-week sessions. These "invisible braces" adjust the teeth in increments.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
A full mouth reconstruction calls for the extensive restoration of natural teeth with crowns, veneers, fixed bridges and/or implants. A team approach is required to successfully perform this procedure as many different specialists are usually required.
